NEW TRACK RECORD SET AT THE HISTORIC MILWAUKEE MILE

Cream City Rickshaws Sets New Three-Wheel Racing Record during IndyFest Test Day

On track action got underway early for the Milwaukee IndyFest as the Cream City Rickshaws took to the one-mile oval today for their first official test session. Rickshaw pilot Kris Lacrnski turned a fast lap time of 4:03.27 setting a new track record for the three-wheeled man-powered machines.

Seventeen rickshaws will take to The Mile this weekend for two heat races on Friday followed by the final one-lap showdown going green at 11:35 a.m. on Saturday. This unique racing event, deemed the Inaugural World Championship of Rickshaw Racing, will feature some of the finest cyclist and man-powered taxi drivers the state of Wisconsin has to offer.

"I was impressed to see the pure speed and power of the rickshaws during their tests session today," said Milwaukee IndyFest General Manager Kevin Healy. "I think Saturday's Inaugural World Championship of Rickshaw Racing is going to be an unforgettable experience."

The Radio Disney AM 1640 Road Crew hits the IndyFest infield with interactive entertainment, prizes and music!


Radio Disney AM 1640, part of the No. 1 radio network for kids, tweens and families will be racing to Milwaukee IndyFest infield to celebrate the 110th Anniversary of the Milwaukee Mile at the Wisconsin State Fair Park.


On Saturday, June 15 from 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., the Radio Disney AM 1640 Road Crew will be on-site in the Family Fun Zone to provide racing themed interactive entertainment, prizes and the hottest music from kids' favorite artists and Disney Channel and Disney XD shows.

This Father's Day weekend, racing fans will get to enjoy a combination of high speed racing excitement and family fun - thanks, in part, to DHL, the Official Express and Logistics Provider of the Milwaukee IndyFest, a two-day festival of speed at the legendary Milwaukee Mile. The Coors Light Music and Beer Garden sets the stage for local Milwaukee music

Milwaukee IndyFest announces the band lineup for the Coors Light Music and Beer Garden at the Father's Day weekend event at the historic Milwaukee Mile. Several of Milwaukee's finest bands will be heard throughout the two-day festival of speed. When the IZOD IndyCar Series teams are screaming around the track, the excitement will move to the Coors Light stage with local bands Common Engine, Thunderbox, Tim Castle & Young Southern and the Sweet Tarts along with the world famous MarchFourth Marching Band, all playing a variety of musical genres throughout the weekend.

Last year's IndyFest Battle of the Bands winner, Common Engine, will kick off the festivities on the Coors Light stage on Friday, June 14. Common Engine will play their original rock music and fire up fans from noon to 2 p.m. The stage schedule continues with Thunderbox, a classic rock cover band. Local Milwaukee favorite, Love Monkeys will also rock the IndyFest infield playing classic and current covers with a unique spin. Following the Pro Mazda Championship presented by Cooper Tires race, fans can keep the party going in the Coors Light Music and Beer Garden and take in the offbeat sounds of MarchFourth Marching Band.

Milwaukee IndyFest is excited to announce that the famous Original Cream Puffs will be sold at the IZOD IndyCar Series race at the Milwaukee Mile, June 14-15. The Original Cream Puffs appearance at Milwaukee IndyFest will be an unprecedented event this Father's Day weekend to celebrate the 110th Anniversary of the one-mile oval.


Traditionally, the Original Cream Puffs have only been available during the 11-day run of the famed Wisconsin State Fair. Cream Puff 6-Packs will be $10 and 3-Packs will be $5 at all locations. This is over 40 percent off the price of during the State Fair. The Original Cream Puffs will also be served in Andretti Autosport hospitality and the Marcus Club, located in the heart of the IndyCar paddock.

THE MILWAUKEE INDYFEST CREW PIT STOP CHALLENGE

IZOD IndyCar Series teams go head-to-head in the crew pit stop challenge at IndyFest


Milwaukee is putting the "fest" back in IndyFest this year at the historic Milwaukee Mile at the Wisconsin State Fair Park with The Crew Pit Stop Challenge. IZOD IndyCar Series teams will send their two best pit crew members to go head-to-head in a pit stop showdown Friday evening, June 14 from 7-8 p.m. The Pit Stop Challenge will take place inside Turn 3 in the Coors Light Music & Beer Garden.

The competition will comprise of two two-person teams for each IndyCar crew participating. IndyCar teams will face-off to change two tires against opposing teams and battle for the top seed. The winning team will continue to the next round and battle to secure the coveted Milwaukee IndyFest Crew Pit Stop Challenge Champion title.

Every team that participates will receive a complimentary beer and brat courtesy of Coors Lights and Milwaukee IndyFest. The Pit Stop Competition area will be open to the public all day Friday and Saturday in the Coors Light Music & Beer Garden. Fans can form teams of two participants for $20. All proceeds will go to the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin and Racing for Kids, the official charity for Milwaukee IndyFest.

The IZOD IndyCar Series race will begin at 3:00 p.m. CT and 4:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, June 15. The weekend festival will feature local music acts, carnival rides, fan-friendly displays and activities for all ages, in addition to exciting race action from the IZOD IndyCar Series, Firestone Indy Lights and Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires.

Milwaukee IndyFest will feature two days of exciting race action from the IZOD IndyCar Series, Firestone Indy Lights and Pro Mazda Championship presented by Cooper Tires cars Friday, June 14, and Saturday, June 15, at the Milwaukee Mile. Fans will also have the opportunity to watch Firestone Indy Lights and Pro Mazda Championship test for free on Thursday as an added bonus to this year's IndyFest. In addition to the racing, IndyFest will also include a long list of activities and attractions throughout the two-day festival.
