BIG NAMES IN LOCAL MUSIC SCENE SET TO APPEAR AT MILWAUKEE INDYFEST

The Coors Light Music and Beer Garden sets the stage for local Milwaukee music

Milwaukee IndyFest announces the band lineup for the Coors Light Music and Beer Garden at the Father's Day weekend event at the historic Milwaukee Mile. Several of Milwaukee's finest bands will be heard throughout the two-day festival of speed. When the IZOD IndyCar Series teams are screaming around the track, the excitement will move to the Coors Light stage with local bands Common Engine, Thunderbox, Tim Castle & Young Southern and the Sweet Tarts along with the world famous MarchFourth Marching Band, all playing a variety of musical genres throughout the weekend.

Last year's IndyFest Battle of the Bands winner, Common Engine, will kick off the festivities on the Coors Light stage on Friday, June 14. Common Engine will play their original rock music and fire up fans from noon to 2 p.m. The stage schedule continues with Thunderbox, a classic rock cover band. Local Milwaukee favorite, Love Monkeys will also rock the IndyFest infield playing classic and current covers with a unique spin. Following the Pro Mazda Championship presented by Cooper Tires race, fans can keep the party going in the Coors Light Music and Beer Garden and take in the offbeat sounds of MarchFourth Marching Band.

On Saturday, June 15, Tim Castle & Young Southern bring some country flair to Turn 3 of the legendary Milwaukee Mile. To jumpstart the Firestone Indy Lights and IZOD IndyCar Series pre-race ceremonies, the Sweet Tarts will perform pop hits to pump up the party scene. The Milwaukee IndyFest post-race concert will feature the quirky MarchFourth Marching Band. They will bring their act to life with an array of instruments and colorful stage performances.

The music will be just one element of the fun at Milwaukee IndyFest. The Family Fun Zone will fill the infield with rides and attractions for kids of all ages. The IZOD IndyCar Fan Village brings interactive elements for race fans new and old, while a variety of car and rickshaw corrals will allow race enthusiasts to see some of the most unique elements IndyFest has to offer. Milwaukee IndyFest will feature the stars and cars of the IZOD IndyCar Series, Firestone Indy Lights, Pro Mazda Championship presented by Cooper Tires and The International Federation of Rickshaw Racing.
